Emma Sky is Director of Yale World Fellows and a Senior Fellow at the Jackson Institute, where she teaches Middle East politics. She is the author of "The Unraveling: High Hopes and Missed Opportunities in Iraq." Emma served as advisor to the Commanding General of US Forces in Iraq from 2007-2010; as advisor to the Commander of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan in 2006; and as advisor to the US Security Co-ordinator for the Middle East Peace Process in 2005.

Master Chief Petty Officer (ret.) Mark Allen served as the fifth Coast Guard Reserve Force Master Chief from 2010-2014. He is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Leadership Academy, the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy, and Frostburg State University. He has received the Coast Guard Commendation Medal and the Coast Guard Achievement Medal with Operational Distinguishing Device.

Yael has spent 16 years working on global political, social and security issues, as a CIA analyst, a diplomat, the senior intelligence officer at NCTC, a national security advisor to Vice President Biden, a CSR strategist for a Fortune 5 Company, and the head of a global political risk firm. In 2016, she founded Kilele Global, providing intelligence-based advice to help companies and start-ups operating in emerging markets do so smartly and with purpose.

Margaret Kuzma is a visiting clinical lecturer at Yale Law School and a staff attorney at the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center. She has previously served as a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator and Installation Victim Advocate for the U.S. Department of the Army. She is a graduate of Brown University and the DePaul University College of Law.
Junior Officers and Young Professionals Panel

Major Will Wright is a graduate student in the Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs. He is also a fellow at the Combatting Terrorism Center at West Point. MAJ Wright previously served as an infantry officer and then a Special Forces officer in the U.S. Army, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Loren Voss is a graduate student in the Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and a JD Candidate at Harvard Law School. She previously served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force, working in positions such as the Chief of Intelligence for a F-15C squadron and as an expert on Middle Eastern air forces and tactics at Air Forces Central Command.

William Gangware previously served as an intelligence analyst at the NYPD Intelligence Bureau, as well as a member of DOD's Task Force for Business and Stability Operations in Afghanistan. William is a graduate of Yale College and is currently a graduate student at Columbia University.
Law and International Security Panel

Zachary K. Goldman is the Executive Director of the Center on Law and Security and an Adjunct Professor of Law at NYU School of Law. Previously, Goldman served as a Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the U.S. Department of Defense, and as a policy advisor in the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, where he was the subject matter expert on terrorist financing in the Arabian Peninsula and Iran sanctions.

Colonel Klappe (Royal Netherlands Army) is currently a Senior Military Expert at the United Nations headquarters. Previously, COL Klappe served as the National Liaison Representative to the NATO Allied Transformation Command, the Director of the Administrative Law Department at the Netherlands Ministry of Defense, and the Chief of Staff at the NATO Rule of Law Field Support Mission in Afghanistan. He is a graduate of Leiden University and the U.S. Army JAG School.

Lt. Col. Alan Schuller has served as an artillery officer and Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is currently an associate director of the U.S. Naval War College Stockton Center for the Study of International Law. He is also a fellow at the Georgetown University Center on National Security and the Law.
