The Yale NROTC Leadership Conference has a block of rooms available at the Omni New Haven Hotel. There are a limited amount of rooms offered for military personnel at a rate of $130/night and for civilian personnel at a rate of $199/night.

Travel

From JFK Intl. Airport (preferred)

Step 1: JFK AirTrain to Jamaica Station - After arriving at JFK, follow signs for the AirTrain (automated rail service that connects JFK terminals to public transit). - Take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station (fare: $8.25). - Estimated travel time: ~10 minutes. Step 2: Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to Penn Station (New York City) - At Jamaica Station, transfer to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) train to Penn Station in Manhattan. - Estimated travel time: ~20-30 minutes. - Fare: ~$7-$10 during off-peak hours, slightly more during peak times. Step 3: Metro-North Train to New Haven - From Penn Station, walk or take a subway (the 1, 2, or 3 subway line downtown) to Grand Central Terminal (roughly a 15-minute trip). - At Grand Central, take the Metro-North New Haven Line train to New Haven’s Union Station. - Estimated travel time: ~2 hours. - Fare: ~$15-$25, depending on peak/off-peak hours. Step 4: Taxi or Shuttle to Yale Campus - From New Haven Union Station, take a quick taxi or local shuttle (about $10-$15) to Phelps Gate at Yale University, about a 10-minute drive.

From Newark Liberty Intl. Airport

Step 1: AirTrain from Newark Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport Station - After arriving, follow signs for the AirTrain. This automated train connects all terminals to the Newark Liberty Airport Rail Station. - Take the AirTrain to Newark Liberty International Airport Station. - Fare: Free within the airport, $8 if you need to buy a ticket to Penn Station. - Travel Time: ~5-10 minutes. Step 2: NJ Transit or Amtrak Train to New York Penn Station - At Newark Liberty Airport Station, take an NJ Transit or Amtrak train to New York Penn Station. - Fare: ~$15 for NJ Transit, more for Amtrak. - Travel Time: ~30 minutes. Step 3: Metro-North Train to New Haven - Once at Penn Station, walk (or take the 1, 2, or 3 subway line) to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. - From Grand Central, take the Metro-North New Haven Line to New Haven Union Station. - Estimated Travel Time: ~2 hours. - Fare: ~$15-$25, depending on peak/off-peak hours. Step 4: Taxi or Shuttle to Yale Campus - From New Haven’s Union Station, take a quick taxi or shuttle ride to the Yale campus, about a 10-minute drive. - Fare: $10-$15.

From Bradley International Airport

Book an Uber in Advance: Use an Uber for a direct ride from Bradley Airport to New Haven. Booking ahead is recommended to ensure availability. Pickup Location: Direct your Uber to meet you at the Ground Transportation area after retrieving your luggage. Travel Time: This trip usually takes around 1.5 hours. Cost: Prices are generally around $85 for a 4-person Uber, or $150 for a 6-person Uber.
