Ambassador John D. Negroponte
Deputy Secretary of State, 2007-2009

Amb. Negroponte is a former diplomat with nearly 40 years of experience, serving most recently as the Deputy Secretary of State in the Obama and Bush Administrations. He was appointed the first Director of National Intelligence in 2005 by President Bush. He served as US Ambassador to Iraq, the United Nations, Mexico, Honduras, and the Philippines. He has also served on the National Security Council, and he is currently the Chairman Emeritus of the Council of the Americas.
Rear Admiral Sara A. Joyner

Rear Admiral Joyner graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1989 and continued on to earn her naval aviator wings. In 2007, Rear Admiral Joyner assumed command of Strike Fighter Squadron 105 and later became deputy commander of Carrier Air Wing Three. Rear Admiral Joyner is the first female strike fighter pilot to command a Navy flight squadron and a carrier air wing.
